Japanese Watercolor Packaging

In 2022, I was asked by Adobe to put together a webinar series teaching 3D tools and workflows to artists working in more traditional 2D mediums like graphic designers. This package design was part of that series and you can see the entire webinar BY CLICKING HERE.

I'm super proud of these final results. I used the Adobe Substance 3D tools and Photoshop to complete this project from start to finish. Iā€™m specifically pleased with the watercolor painting effect I was able to simulate in Substance Painter. By utilizing anchor points, I generated the splotchy effect of watercolors with the slight darkening around the edges of the brush strokes.
